Book Review 1: Beastly

What is love? Something that people say when they have strong feelings for one another right? Your sorta right. In Alex Flinn's book Beastly, she opens your eyes and heart to something called true love. This book takes a story like the movie made in 1991 Beauty and the Beast and combines it with modern time.
This story takes place in a high school, where popularity thrives and people considered "ugly" are a joke. A ninth-grader named Kyle Kingsbury who is incredibly popular and rich. Kyle gets everything and every girl he wants. He lives with his father who he rarely gets to see due to the fact that Kyles father always works. Kyles life seems perfect, with his hot girlfriend Sloane Hagen. A girl every guy dreamed of having, yeah Kyle had it all. Until one day, Kendra Hilferty comes into his life. After Kendra comes into his life, Kyle is forced to leave home, his father wont even look at him, his once love of his life wont even talk to him. But what Kyle doesnt know is he is going to meet the one. A girl so amazing that itll change Kyle Kingsbury into someone else.
This book will make you laugh, make you cry, make you sad and all over know the meaning of love. I never thought this book could have such a impact on my feelings but it did. If you like to feel your heart race and your eyes tear up from a story that shows you what true love really means, then read this!
I recommend this book to who ever likes to read love stories! This is an amazing book for a teenager and anyone would enjoy this book.

Can You Fall 80 Feet and Live?

According to an article on www.wusa9.com that is titled "Boy falls 80 feet, lives" informs us that on Thursday in Takoma Park, Md around 3:15 pm a 4-year-old boy fell 80 feet from an apartment window on the 8800 block of Piney Branch Road.
9News' Ken Molestina has reported that a branch is what possibly saved a deathly fall from a 9th floor apartment window. It is still unknown of the fact if the child was home alone when he fell.
The 4-year-old boy was rushed to Children's Hospital, according to Montgomery Police Department, that the young child was in serious condition. Police say that detectives from Family Crimes Division and Child Protective Services are investigating the fall and are looking into the fact whether the 4-year-old was alone at the time of the fall or not.
What kind of parent leaves their child unattended like this? I have never left my child alone. People like this should not be allowed to raise children. Im glad to know this boy gets a second chance at life not thanks to his parents. I hope and pray that the police discover the reason the child fell and arrest the parents for child endangerment.
My guess on the parents is that they probably fell asleep while the child was left unatended, and in result the child tumbled out the window. Thank goodness for the tree branch that broke his fall.

I Pity the Fool

I think the soldier on the hospital bed deserves pity. When he said, "Look, those jews died quickly they did not suffer as I do." he was telling the truth. Everyday he watches hundreds of people die, and be tortured. As a nazi, it's his duty to do what he does. If he expressed his feelings about not wanting to, they would make him a prisoner also due to the fear of being betrayed. He doesn't exactly have a choice.

The Decision of Forgiveness

A young woman aborts her baby to avoid the social stigma of being an unwed mother. I know a girl that was fifteen when she found out she was pregnant. Her family is catholic and would have been very upset with her decisions that she had making. To avoid the embarassment she would have caused herself and her family, she had an abortion. There are ways to avoid pregnancy, and alternatives to abortion. Aborting an unborn child is just like killing a child that has been born. It is wrong and I feel that this woman should not be forgiven.
